J. Cole Uniondale Concert reviews
Oceania ver batim
After playing their newest album, Oceania, in its entirety and in order, they opened their show. I like it a lot more after hearing it live, I think. The globe's special effects were pretty cool to watch. J. Cole played for just the right amount of time, 2.5 hours, I think. It was great to be on the floor, and the price was justified.
Playing the whole new album makes sense, I guess, because you have a captive audience that paid, and you can end the show with all the hits. I'm surprised more bands don't do this. Lately, there's been a lot of shows where bands have been playing old albums in order in their entirety, like They Might Be Giants & Matthew Sweet.
